description A high performance liquid chromatography combined with on-line photochemical derivatization method lor the determination of 11 sulphonamide residues in pork was developed. The sample was extracted by acetonitrile, performed on Eclipse Plus C sub(l8) Column (4.6 mm X 250 mm, 5.0 mu m) using gradient elution of aeetonitrile-methanol-water(containing 0.2% (V/V) acetic add for all). The analytes were detected by fluorescence detection after on-line photochemical derivatization. The calibration cures were linear well in the respective concentration range with the correlation coefficients over 0.999. Recoveries were from 85.7% to 101.1% and the relative standard deviations were 1.9% to 6.6% (n = 6). The detection limit was 0.2-3 mu g/kg, and the quantification limit was 0.5-10 mu g/kg. The method is simple, sensitive, accurate and precise for determination of sulphonamide residues in pork.
