Zusammenfassung: | Dextroamphetamine (d and l-amphetamine isomers) or "Adderall" was approved for unrestricted use in ADD/ADHD by the FDA in 1996 and is one of the more widely prescribed ADD/ADHD medications. It has also gained immense popularity among recreational drug users for its stimulant and appetite suppressant effects. Surprisingly, few cases of toxicity are documented in the medical literature. We report a case of delayed toxicity resembling serontonin syndrome from a self-reported massive Adderal XR ingestion. |
