Zusammenfassung:	Organochlorine pesticides and PCBs were determined in tissue from 18 slaughtered cows. DDE and PCBs were found in 83% of tissues, DDT was found in 55% of tissues, and the DDT metabolite p, p -DDD was found in 33% of the animals. Mammary gland from one cow had three hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) isomers, and single cows had a single isomer in ovary and liver. Mammary gland and liver had higher PCB content than ovary. DDE levels were lower in ovary and liver than in mammary gland. DDE levels were also lower than DDT levels in liver and ovary.
