Pulmonary Infection Due to Multidrug-Resistant Mycobacterium szulgai in a Patient with AIDS

Mycobacterium szulgai is an unusual pathogen that, to our knowledge, has not been previously reported as a cause of pulmonary infection in persons with AIDS. We describe a 42-year-old homosexual man who presented with a 4-month history of weight loss, profound fatigue, and night sweats.
