Zusammenfassung: | During a survey of the herpetofauna of the Brazilian State of Roraima, Dr. Celso Morato de Carvalho collected a stream frog, Hyla benitezi Rivero (1961), on the Brazilian side of the Brazil-Venezuela border. This site represents the fourth known locality for this species and the first record for Brazil. The Brazilian specimens were collected from Roraima; Vila Pacaraima, border marker BV (Brazil-Venezuela) 8, at approximately 4 degree 29'N, 61 degree 9'W. |
