Zusammenfassung:The aim of this work was to identify and characterize three samples of jarosite process tailing waste in Mitrovica, Kosovo, using Raman and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The identification is made based on the assignment of bands in the Raman and FTIR spectra. Both Raman and FTIR spectra show the fundamental stretching and bending vibration mode of SO42–, OH– and NH4+ groups. The results obtained by the means of Raman and infrared spectroscopy are compared with cited reference data in order to sum the analysis of vibrational spectra.
