Zusammenfassung: | The European Commission adopted in 2010 a Green Paper establishing the options for the approach on the forest protection and awareness on the forest resources and their status at the level of European Union, called On Forest Protection and Information in the EU: Preparing forests for climate change". The Green Paper sets the main challenges of the European forests, presenting the existing information systems in the forestry field and the instruments available for the forest protection, but also measures of sustainable management of the forests in order to protect them. In order to apply these measures, the article describes the implementation methods of the forest policy in few European countries, both from the European Union (Austria, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Romania) and from outside (Norway), countries that have significant forest surfaces. |
