Zusammenfassung:From the reaction of CuI with an N,S-donor ligand (L) under different molar ratios, two discrete polynuclear copper(i) iodide complexes, [Cu sub(2)I sub(2)L sub(2)] (1) and [Cu sub(7)I sub(7)L sub(3)] (2) were isolated and characterised. Complex 1 contains a rhomboid-type Cu sub(2)I sub(2) cluster, whilst complex 2 is the first example showing a pinwheel-type Cu sub(7)I sub(7) cluster.
