Heat exchange during boiling of fluids on finned walls of tubes in heat exchangers

An algorithm is presented for calculation of optimal parameters of trapezoidal finning of tubes in a heat exchanger in conformity with its operating conditions. Conclusions following analysis of experimental studies of many researchers are drawn on the basis of the calculation. The calculations performed in accordance with the proposed algorithm enabled us to establish just how expedient finning is in a specific case, and what parameters the finned wall should have.
