Zusammenfassung:Micro-Abstract Carcinoma antigen (CA) 19-9 can be a tumor marker in addition to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in the follow-up of patients with colorectal cancer. In the 7.3% of the patients who have increases of only CA 19-9, the tumor marker can be an alternative to CEA. Besides, preoperative increased levels of CA 19-9 predict a poor survival.
