In this analysis, we will dissect the basic natures of an eBook, from the perspective of Keitai Manga/Novels sensation that occurred in Japan. Specifically, this paper will discuss how public demands for Keitai Mangas became an important catalyst for the Japanese eBook market growth, along with the demise of once-heralded Keitai Novels. Adding to that, this paper will identify the differences to that equivalent of U.S., and in conclusion we will try to find what the shape of future publishing platforms might look like.
