Zusammenfassung:ABSTRACT Capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (C4D) has emerged as a powerful technique for the detection of compounds lacking any distinct chromophores or fluorophores. This review provides an update of the most recent application in CE‐C4D for pharmaceutical, biomedical and food covering the period from January 2012 to January 2014. The present review is an update of two previous review papers covering the years 2000–2010 (Biomedical Chromatography 2010; 24: 1038–1044 and Biomedical Chromatography 2012; 26: 990–1000). Representative examples illustrate the applicability of CE‐C4D in the fields of pharmaceutical, biomedical and food. Finally, general conclusions and perspectives are provided.
