description Neuroptera of the Bidente-Ronco Valley (Apennine of Romagna - Italy) have been studied for two years (1986-87) in five stands located along the altitudinal gradient. Researches consisted in half-standardized samplings of adults made by means of a net during the period April-October. On the whole, it was possible to find 49 species belonging to the following families: Raphidiidae (2), Inocelliidae (1), Coniopterygidae (8), Hemerobiidae (13), Chrysopidae (20), Myrmeleonidae (2), Ascalaphidae (3). The data about the ecological requirements, phenology and voltinism have been indicated and described species by species. As far as concerns the autoecology of the single species, the levels of knowledge turned out to be quite different. Information about many rather rare Neuroptera is completely lacking. For the first time data about phenology and voltinism of species with southern distribution (such as Helicoconis pseudolutea, Hemerobius handschini, Mallada zelleri, Libelloides italicus , and so on) have been reported.
