Zusammenfassung: | Giriraj (DRMRIJ 31) is an Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L Czern & Coss) variety developed by Directorate of Rapeseed Mustard Research, Bharatpur and released for cultivation under timely sown irrigated conditions of Zone II comprising Rajasthan and Haryana. This variety was identified during 20 super(th) annual group meeting of "All India Coordinated Research Project on Rapeseed-Mustard", held at SDAU, SK Nagar (Gujarat) during 5-7 July 2013 and has been notified by Central Sub Committee on Crop Standards, Notification and Release of Varieties for Agricultural Crops, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India vide Notification No. S.O. 2817 (E) dated 19 super(th) September 2013. This variety has been developed through pedigree selection from the cross between HB 9908 and HB 9916. HB 9908 is a pureline selection from an open pollinated population for long siliqua and HB 9916 is a selection for medium height and earliness. |
