Treatment of skin lesions in captive lemon sharks, Negaprion brevirostris (Poey), caused by monogeneans (Dermophthirius sp.)

Infestations of the monogenean ectoparasite, Dermophthirius sp., in lemon sharks, Negaprion brevirostris (Poey), are common in aquaria. The infestations were treated by the following methods; freshwater dip, formalin dip, exposure to Dylox), and temperature reduction. Exposure to Dylox was the treatment prefered by the authors.
