Zusammenfassung: | An increase in the number of years people work now seems inevitable, given that France's retirement pension system is threatened by the ageing of the population. In this context, education is seen as a means of maintaining the employability of ageing workers. This group, however, adopts an attitude of self-exclusion towards professional training. Could it be that the desire to learn erodes with age ? A study carried out with 215 subjects from three different firms set out to measure their willingness to learn : the results raise doubts about this belief and suggest a need for change in age-based management of human resources.
