Zusammenfassung:	The morphology and life-history stages of a new enterozoic gregarine Nematopsis rosenbergii n. sp. (Apicomplexa: Cephalina) from the brackishwater prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii ( De Man) are described and its systematic position is discussed. Sporonts are biassociative, linear, cylindrical; syzygy early; occasionally with 3 to 4 sporonts in a linear chain. Length of association ranges from 608 to 1116.5 μm. Gametocysts spherical. Gymnospores spherical, with uninucleated, spherical bodies arranged radially in a rosette-like manner around a central, hyaline cytoplasm.
