Probe into the Cultural Soft Power in National Competitive Sports

The competitive power of competitive sports can be classified into soft power and hard power. As the hard power of competitive sports in China is constantly reinforced, the athletes have got excellent performances in international competitions. However, our achievement cannot be accepted by lots of foreign countries, because compared with hard power, the soft power construction of our competitive sports relatively lags behind. How to promote the international status and prestige of Chinese competitive sports through strengthening soft power construction has become an urgent strategic task. Using the methods of literature consultation and interview, the paper drew several conclusions on the basis of systematic study. At first, we should cultivate the sports spirit of "benefit people by impartment of skills and knowledge".
