Acute myocardial infarction in a 22-year-old world class weight lifter using anabolic steroids

The authors report a case of a world class powerlifter using anabolic steroids who presented with acute myocardial infarction, marked hypercholesterolemia and an abnormal LDL/HDL ratio. The clinical circumstances suggest a causal relationship to anabolic steroid use.
