Analgesia Produced by Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Administered Directly to the Spinal Cord in Rats
The authors administered VIP directly to the spinal cord and measured its effect on pain thresholds in rats. They determined whether or not the effect of VIP is opiate-mediated by pretreating the rats with naloxone.
