The noun kabuhirm 'panic' could be a translation loan from the Finnish pakokauhu, with metathesis (Fin pako- = Est pagu-) having taken place in the first component. The word leetrid 'measles' has derived from an older standard compound leetrubid 'lit, red smallpox'.
