Zusammenfassung:Influence of different levels of water deficit on yield and crop water requirement of soya beans in a sub-humid environment in Turkey in 2005 and 2006 was investigated. One full-irrigated treatment, one non-irrigated treatment and three different deficit irrigation treatments were applied to Nova soy bean planted on a clay soil. Deficit irrigation treatments reduced biomass, seed yield and some other traits compared to full irrigation throughout the growing season. The results indicated that soya bean should be irrigated fully during the growing season with no water stress for high biomass and seed yields. Full irrigation throughout the growing period of soya bean could be recommended in areas where irrigation water was not limited.
