Zusammenfassung: | Mink were fed with 345-hexachlorobiphenyl (HCB) to further characterize indices of toxicity at lower dietary levels of 345-HCB. Clinical signs of toxicity were identified and ascites and gastric ulcers were present in animals that died. Although no conclusive evidence was obtained concerning the mechanisms by which 345-HCB manifests its toxicity, some new observations regarding the influence of 345-HCB on hair and nail growth and development are reported. |
