Zusammenfassung:Paid work typically is regarded as an adult experience. Children and young are considered outside of working life and preparing for adulthood. In this context, working is viewed as the end of "preparation for life" period and the transition to working from schooling is accepted as the most important change for young people. In this study, three different formats of the transition from schooling to education are investigated: "working during schooling", "unwillingly leaving school to work", and "preferring to work because of various urging and attracting factors". In researching these three dimensions, factors such as difficulties expressed by young people in transitioning from schooling to working, obligations to working and financial shortcomings, insufficient educational conditions, and inability of the labor market to produce sufficient jobs commensurate with the vocational skills, will be discussed. Variables such as sex, quality and quantity of the education, and habitancy will be separately taken into consideration. The study is based on data collected for the "Southeastern Anatolian Youth" project conducted in 2009.
