Zusammenfassung:Progeny from self-fertilized plants of USDA-ARS germplasm pool II were assayed electrophoretically to determine Inheritance relationships of isozyme polymorphisms in cultivated annual sunflower (Hellanthus annuus L.). Chi-square goodness-of-fit tests verified genetic segregation for six enzyme marker loci including peroxidase 3 (Prx3), malate dehydrogenase 1 (Mdh1), 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase 1 (Pgd1), glucose-phosphate Isomerase 2 (Gp12), phosphoglucomutase 4 (Pgm4), and isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (idh2). Linkage tests showed that Prx3 is linked to Pgm4 with a recombination value of 0.14 ± 0.02. Thus, the results Indicated that the six enzyme loci mark five different linkage groups. Some possible uses of these six enzyme marker loci are discussed.
