Zusammenfassung:The problem of elastoplastic tension and torsion optimization for pump rods is examined with regard to the stochastic uncertainty of initial plastic properties of the material. Strength conditions for the rod are stated probabilitywise accounting for induced residual stresses and strain hardening of the material. The Monte-Carlo method is used to solve the problem. Devised optimum conditions for the recovery of rod properties fit the experimental data well.
