Zusammenfassung:	Inheritance of the white foliar midrib in three Diefenbachia cultivars was shown to be controlled by a single dominant nuclear gene labeled Wm. Each cultivar evaluated was heterozygous for the presence of a white midrib. Data presented show the gene for foliar variegation (Pv) and for white midrib(Wm) are linked; the dominant alleles are on opposite homologous chromosomes.
