Preparation of a cell‐free extract from yeast that is active in protein synthesis
In this paper the authors show that a cell-free extract active in protein synthesis can be obtained from normal yeast cells homogenized mechanically. This extract responds to exogenous RNA isolated from yeast polysomes and tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) particles.
