description | In the present paper, we reported the design and features of an ultraviolet-preionized high-repetition-rate transversely excited atmospheric-pressure CO2 laser using industrial gases with typical purity. We utilized an appropriate array of spark and corona as the preionization source to gain high efficiency and long lifetime. We produced a semi-sealed-off laser at 300 Hz with the output power of 220 W, 7.7% efficiency, and 735 mJ/pulse. The best result we obtained were 1.1 J/pulse, 320 Hz PRR, 11 MW peak power, and 10.6% efficiency in comparison to the energy saved into the main condenser. Also, by employing an iterative angular spectrum algorithm, a diffractive optical element, which is quantized to eight levels, is designed in a ZnSe disk to uniformize the intensity of CO2 laser. The root mean square error and diffraction efficiency of the flattened beam were obtained 1.23% and 86.24% respectively. |
