description | The Fabrica Nova mine, located in the eastern portion of the Quadrangle Ferriferous, is part of the complex Mariana miner, being at 150 km from Belo Horizonte. It is a very heterogeneous mineral deposit consisting of different lithologies that can be identified with distinct characteristics granulometric, chemical, mineralogical and technological. The feed processing plant is made considering the blending of these different lithologies (itabirite and hematite ores) reaching an average content of iron of 55%. The rom of mine is transported by belt system of 12 kilometers away from the Fabrica Nova Mine to the Timbopeba plant. The objective of this study was to identify the types of lithology of the mine and the effect of its characteristics, as well as mixtures thereof, the operating ratios and the quality of the product of each unit operation of the beneficiation process. Currently, the circuit is being fed without use the homogenization courtyard, making this important study more relevant. For this was owing and representatively shown different lithology for characterization and tests of scale bank with focus in the prediction and process optimization. The data about granulometry and chemical, the characterization and application of the bench tests allowed the grouping of lithologies in typologies, beyond the sectorization of the mine considering particulars granulometric, chemical, mineralogical and technological characteristics. These results has being used in the execution of blends and has guaranteed the balance between bigger stability and productivity of the improvement process, as well as optimization of the reserve. |
