Zusammenfassung:	Highlights ► Videocapsule images are quantified to discern celiac disease patients from controls. ► Method is robust to air bubbles, opaque luminal fluids, and other extraneous features. ► Transform coefficients derived by ensemble averaging are used for spectral estimation. ► Image reconstruction with orthogonal basis vectors retains salient information. ► Edges of transformed image features are nonuniform in celiacs and uniform in controls.
