Zusammenfassung:The students estimate that Belarusian is much less supported than Russian in government services (1) and business (3).\n In Ukraine the phenomenon of migrant laborers (zarobitcanstvo-temporary travel abroad for seasonal, temporary, or retail trade) is widespread and receives broad coverage in the mass media. Because of this, the Ukrainian respondents evaluated the emigration rate as exceptionally critical for Ukrainian vitality, to a certain extent even in spite of reality.5 Specifics of the Ukrainian SEV as against OV (objective vitality) can be better understood when we compare its data on outgroup vitality with that of SEV given by the Russian respondents themselves.
