Conclusion Human placentas are populated by immature myeloid cells in the proximity of blood vessels. Consistent with their involvement in angiogenesis, immature myeloid cells accelerated endothelial tube formation. The presence of immature myeloid cells in pathologic pregnancies warrants further studies. |
