Zusammenfassung: | Most central synkinesias (due to CNS dysfunction) are homologus and are seen in children in form of mirror movements which disappear with the maturation of the central nervous system (CNS) and myelination of the corpus callosum. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) of the cortical right hand region consistently produced concurrent activation of the right thenar and left leg tibialis anterior muscles (Fig. 1) and resulted in simultaneous jerks of the right hand and left foot. |
