Zusammenfassung: | Through the e4obbying campaign, the Federation and AEU had called for the Mid-Term Review of the Productivity Places Program to be released John Ross writing in The Australian (August 30, 201 1) noted that: *the $2.1 billion Productivity Places Program for 711,000 training places over five years was so badly administered that eváluators couldn't tell who it had trained; *the midterm review of the Productivity Places Program by Allen Consulting found that despite its size it had failed to adequately target its training to skills shortage areas; *it was impossible to estimate how many people had participated; *instead of addressing skills shortages and emerging needs, it was largely used to train special-care workers, security officers and sales representatives; *training funded through the program was skewed to low-level qualifications. |
