Zusammenfassung: | Do you see the water at the top of the creek at the top of the mountain that holds our town in the palm of its hand and seeks the shoreline that our own front doors face? When you defend your position, be like one who has held on and pulled herself up to a steep place on a high cliff with the Chilkat Mountain at her back, one who has kicked her rope off the ledge and has resolved to engage the battle. Do you smell the fragrance of berry bushes in the spring, the summer's wet soil, fall sockeye becoming older in the creek? When the time has come to make your move, be relentiess like the river in the spring when the glacier is thawing and the snow is melting and the clouds are backed up against the rainshadow and pouring out their heavy water so they can lift themselves over the mountains in their own good time. |
