Rapid determination of the absolute activities of alpha-emitting nuclides in plane disk sources

A simple method is described for rapidly determining the activity of alpha-emitting radionuclides in a plane source which is based on measuring the counting rate in a detector under fixed geometry conditions for two positions of the source.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
