Characterization of filter media MnO^sub x(s)^ surfaces and Mn removal capability
Although the ability of MnOx(s)-coated filter media to remove dissolved Mn was reported in the early 1960s (Griffin, 1960), the process of Mn removal by MnOx(slcoated media was not well-documented until much later ([Merkle] et al, 1 997,- [Knocke, W.R.] er al, 1 99 1, 1988).
