Zusammenfassung:This column includes a statement sent to President Truman by the Board of Director of the American Psychological Association, urging that loyalty investigations conducted under Executive Order 9835 be conducted in a manner that will preserve morale and maintain the attractiveness of government service for competent scientists. Loyalty boards should respect the right of every person accused to know all the charges against him, to have a prompt and fair hearing, to confront adverse witnesses, and to summon witnesses on his own behalf. This column also contains an announcement of APA's advertising policy. The present policy is that APA reserves the right to reject advertising and publishing an advertisement in an APA journal does not imply that the APA guarantees the quality of the products advertised.
