Zusammenfassung:This paper aims to produce flat, foldable primary member geometries to cover temporary structures in response to the growing population and the need to reduce greenhouse gas production. It presents deployable bending-active grid shell domes as a solution consisting of elastic elements and scissorlike members used as secondary members. The form-finding process is controlled with cable shrinkage to achieve the desired height, and the study has been improved through structural loading tests using finite-element analysis.
