Zusammenfassung:As a result of rising levels of food consumption and overall economic expansion, there has been a concomitant increase in the amount of organic waste that has been produced. This surge has been caused by significant advancements in agricultural production techniques. Good waste management is one of the most effective ways to restore depleted soils' levels of organic matter by reintroducing carbon into the system in the form of organic inputs. Composting is a method of waste processing that has grown in popularity over the years. In this review, the factors affecting the decomposition process during the composting process were studied. These factors are C/N rate, pH, moisture content, oxygen concentration and temperature. According to the literature, it was found that the initial moisture content is between (50%-60%), the final moisture content is less than 30%, the C/N ratio is (13-19), the pH is (5.5-8), and the O₂ content is approximately (15%) or more. The process is within the thermophilic regionand is (>50°C). These findings are taken into account in accordance with the global determinants of fertilizer production since compost enhances soil structure and provides nutrients and organic fertilizers. This improves the health of the plant and lessens the need for pesticides and fertilizers that include chemicals. This is due to compost's ability to improve soil fertility and the activity of helpful bacteria. it's basically expanded the scope of the lab study here. This is a review paper.
