Comprehensive review on wound healing and its management

Wound is a disruption in the continuity and regulatory processes of tissue cell. Wound is an injury or any cut to living organism. Wound healing is an art. A wound is a break in tissues or integrity of the skin that causes disruption in organs function. Healing is the process in which the organs restore their normal functions. Wound healing is strenuous process corresponding of precisely, programmed-overlapping and continuous phases. There are some factors which influence the wound healing process such as medications, smoking, alcoholism, obesity, diabetes, stress, hormones, age, sex, infections and oxygenation. Thus, may causes delayed in wound healing. The blasted healing recovery will lead to inflammation due to uncoordinated, incomplete and postponed healing process, example: venous stasis disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic ulcers etc. This paper aims to present a comprehensive overview of the wound healing process by systemic review of the articles and books. The existence of a wound significant burden and impact on patient quality of life, care provider and it affects the patient cost and economic status.
