One‐Pot Direct Mechanochemical Silicon Replacement of Sodium Fluorosilicate into Sodium Fluorozirconate and Functionalization of Graphite for Enhanced Sodium‐Ion Storage (Small 44/2024)

Sodium‐Ion Storage Dark yellow spheres represent zirconium atoms on the surfaces of Zr oxide reactor and balls. It is an anthropomorphic representation for the in‐situ conversion of sodium fluorosilicate (SFS) into sodium fluorozirconate (SFZ) to form SFZ functionalized graphite (SFZ‐G). When silico...

Zusammenfassung:Sodium‐Ion Storage Dark yellow spheres represent zirconium atoms on the surfaces of Zr oxide reactor and balls. It is an anthropomorphic representation for the in‐situ conversion of sodium fluorosilicate (SFS) into sodium fluorozirconate (SFZ) to form SFZ functionalized graphite (SFZ‐G). When silicon atoms (purple spheres) are replaced with Zr atoms, the resulting SFZ‐G becomes electrochemically active enough to illustrate this discovery.
