After collecting the data, an antibiogram was prepared and after that the resistance rates for each bacterium were calculated by subtraction of 100% from the susceptibility rate for each result (Resistance rate= 100% – Susceptibility rate). Results:Acinetobacter baumannii was resistant to most tested antibiotics and Klebsiella pneumonia was resistant to several antibiotics in 2018 and 2019. In the present study, there were a high resistance rate of Klebsiella pneumonia andAcinetobacter baumannii and there were 2 main threats which include Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter and Ciprofloxacin-resistant Salmonella. Conclusion: It is recommended to increase the awareness of the health care professionals regarding the appropriate prescribing of antibiotics based on antimicrobial resistance rate and to increase the awareness of the public about the wise use of antibiotics. |
