description | This study scrutinizes the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) mechanism in Telangana, India, to warrant more people to get access to banking services and give small enterprise more potentiality. The Indian government created the PMMY to make it easier for people in rural places to get loans, especially those who don't have access to standard banking services. The study uses both qualitative and quantitative methods, such as conversations with field work, and the analysis of financial data. Findings indicate that PMMY has been instrumental in helping rural Telangana entrepreneurs expand and improve their micro and small companies by providing them with loans without requiring collateral. More employment opportunities, more pay, and improved living circumstances in rural areas are the outcomes of this initiative. The study highlights how crucial it is for various financial institutions, including banks and microfinance organizations, to carry out the PMMY plan effectively. However, challenges were identified, including high interest rates, stringent repayment plans, and little recipient knowledge. The study suggests altering policies in order to address these issues. It is concluded that PMMY has been instrumental in Telangana's efforts to encourage financial inclusion and rural entrepreneurship. The study emphasizes how crucial it is to keep evaluating and enhancing the program in order to sustain rural companies' expansion and empowerment. Policymakers, financial institutions, and other interested parties who wish to encourage financial inclusion and rural development in Telangana and other similar regions may find valuable information and recommendations in this paper.. |
