Zusammenfassung: | Tooth loss can result in anatomical changes, such as decreased alveolar bone and masticatory function. Removable partial dentures are the choice of most patients because they are cheap and easy to apply. In addition to phonetic improvement and masticatory function, removable partial dentures improve esthetics, especially in missing anterior teeth. Because of the hidden clasp, modified conventional wire wrought clasps are an alternative to get an aesthetic, clinical appearance. This article, therefore, reports on the rationale and possibility of using a modified circumferential clasp and twin-flex clasp as retention in the anterior area. The source of the review was searched for related keywords from the published article relevant to the topics. Findings revealed that modified circumferential C and Twin-Flex clasps can be an alternative to esthetic clasps in the anterior teeth. The modified circumferential C and Twin-Flex clasps should be encouraged using relevant research and trials. |
