The type of research used is qualitative research with the descriptive method through case study design. The subjects in this research were students in one of the schools in Kampar Regency which numbered 20 people. The techniques of collecting the data were data triangulation with the test using mathematical creative thinking ability test question instrument, self-efficacy questionnaire, interview using interview guidelines. Processing the validity of the data was done by using Miles and Huberman technique involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research findings, it was obtained that (1) students’ mathematical creative thinking ability at one of schools in Kampar overall was on low category, (2) self-efficacy was in line with creative thinking ability, students on high self-efficacy category had high ability, students on medium self-efficacy category had enough ability, and students on low self-efficacy category had poor ability. |
