Zusammenfassung: | Quick-build projects have come into the spotlight for their success in transforming implementation timelines in transportation projects. These projects bridge the gap between the needed changes to US infrastructure and the high costs (in both time and money) of capital improvements to meet those needs. At the same time, public transit has come into the spotlight as they recognize the crucial role it plays in regional mobility, equity, and climate resilience. However, because quick-build projects are usually city-led efforts in their own rights of way, and most cities don't operate transit directly, there are few examples and limited guidance on the implementation of quick-build strategies to support public transit, despite the potential for quick-build strategies to improve at-grade bus service drastically. |
