Zusammenfassung:Single crystals of nitrate phosphate Pb 2 [PO 4 ](NO 3 )⋅H 2 O (LNP), which have electrical conductivity and magnetic properties, were prepared by mild hydrothermal synthesis; sp. gr. P 2 1 / c , a = 9.5709(4) Å, b   = 7.3061(3) Å, c = 10.5644(5) Å, β = 106.37(1)°, R hkl = 0.0548. This approach simplifies the preparation of the crystals compared to their synthesis from gels used previously. The new compound is the second representative of this class containing a mixed anionic radical. The structure determination, which revealed the layered nature and allowed the positioning of a part of hydrogen atoms of water molecules, provides an explanation for the proton conductivity of the crystals found previously.
