Magnetic Properties of the Plastically Pre-Deformed 08Kh15N5D2T Maraging Steel Under Subsequent Elastic Uniaxial Tension

The paper presents results of studying the effect of preliminary plastic tensile deformation to different strains on the magnetic behavior of the 08Kh15N5D2T maraging steel during subsequent elastic uniaxial tension. It is shown that the magnetostriction of the plastically pre-deformed maraging stee...

description The paper presents results of studying the effect of preliminary plastic tensile deformation to different strains on the magnetic behavior of the 08Kh15N5D2T maraging steel during subsequent elastic uniaxial tension. It is shown that the magnetostriction of the plastically pre-deformed maraging steel, in contrast to lower-alloy ferritic steels, demonstrates only positive values in the entire range of tensile stresses. This causes unique stress dependences of the magnetic hysteresis parameters.
